RANGE RULES:

  • Safety will be first always.
  • When reporting to the Range, all Firearms will be unloaded and in a holster or suitable transportation device.
  • Treat every firearm as if it is loaded.  never assume the firearm is clear, be sure.  Check it at least twice.
  • Only the participants actually shooting are allowed on the firing line.
  • All semi-auto firearms are to be unloaded, action open and magazine removed before the line is designated as "clear".  Revolvers are to be empty and holstered.
  • No firearms are to be handled behind the firing line while range is in use.
  • Shoot only at designated targets and only then when it is safe.
  • Never point a firearm at anyone or anything you do not intend to shoot or in a direction where an accidental discharge may harm someone.
  • If you experience an underpowered load, misfire or hang fire, it is your responsibility to maintain the firearm safely pointed down range and clear it.
  • Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the property.
  • Obey all commands from the Range Officials; they are in charge of your safety.  If you fail to obey, you will be removed from the Range, possibly the property.
  • Participants are responsible to "police" the area of the Range they used, to include trash, empty casings, and any other debris or equipment.
  • The 8 lane static target area is for shooting handguns and rifles, under no circumstances are shotguns to be discharged at the wooden target backers.
  • When the Steel Challenge is in use, no one is allowed to be in the area east (to the right) of these shooting areas.
  • Wearing of proper eye protection and hearing protection is mandatory anytime on any range area.
  • No vehicles are allowed on either of the ranges when the Steel Challenge area is in use.
  • No vehicles are allowed on the lower range inside of the 50-yard line.
  • Do not remove the Steel Plates from the stands on the Steel Challenge area.
